    Homemade Pizza Pockets

    This week things are super crazy, so I decided to make a pizza pocket version. They are seriously so easy to make – and the perfect finger food!

    Homemade Pizza Pockets Recipe

    Prep Time 40 minutes
    Cook Time 20 minutes
    Total Time 1 hour
    Servings 6

    Ingredients

    For Dough

    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 1 tsp instant yeast
    • 1/2 tsp sugar
    • 1/4 tsp salt

    For Filling

    • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese grated
    • 1 cup chicken tikka shredded
    • 1 capsicum cut into cubes
    • 1 to mato cut into cubes
    • 1 onion cut into cubes
    • 1 tsp oregano leaves

    Instructions

    • In a bowl, combine together flour, salt, sugar, Instant yeast and oil.
    • Knead a soft dough with lukewarm water.
    • Leave it to rise for 30 minutes.
    • Preheat oven to 200 degree C.
    • Grease a pizza pan with butter.
    • Divide pizza dough into 3 equal portions.
    • Roll pizza dough into 3 circles size of a quarter plate.
    • On one half of each circle sprinkle cheese, tomato, onion, capsicum and shredded chicken Tikka.
    • Sprinkle oregano over it.
    • Top with grated cheese.
    • Brush the edges of each pizza base with oil.
    • Fold the plain half over to form a semi circle.
    • Press the edges firmly.
    • Place pizza pockets on greased pizza pan.
    • Brush with oil.
    • Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
    • Cut into half.
    • Pizza Pockets are ready to serve.

    Notes

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with Chili Garlic sauce.

    Spicy Fish Tikka Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 1 kg King fish clean and cut in cubes
    • 2 tbsp White vinegar
    • 1 tbsp Red crushed chilli
    • 1 tsp White cumin roasted and ground
    • 4 tbsp Lemon juice
    • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
    • Salt to taste
    • 4 tbsp Oil

    Instructions

    • Apply vinegar and salt on fish and wash after 10 minutes.
    • Then apply all spices and lemon juice and marinade for 1-1/2 hour.
    • Thread on skewers and BBQ, grill or fry in a bit oil.
    • When done then apply oil with brush and squeeze lemon again. Spicy Fish Tikka is ready to serve.

    Notes

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with tamarind sauce.

    Step 1

    Place flour in a medium bowl. Add salt, oil and water.

    Step 2

    Knead to a make a soft dough. Cover with a wet cloth and leave it for 40 minutes.

    Step 3

    Make small balls out of the dough.

    Step 4

    Dust the surface with flour. Roll out each ball into a thin circle.

    Step 5

    Sprinkle mint and salt over it.

    Step 6

    Pleat up the circle and twist the dough into a rope. Coil the rope to make a ball.

    Step 7

    Again roll with a pin roll and make a thin flat bread. Repeat this method all remaining dough.

    Step 8

    Place a paratha on the hot griddle. Spread butter or oil around the sides of paratha.

    Step 9

    Fry on medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side or until turn golden. Mint paratha is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

    Tandoori Fish Tikka Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 500 gm boneless fish
    • 1 cup plain yogurt
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1 tsp red chili flakes
    • 1 tsp ground cumin
    • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
    • 1/2 tsp chat masala
    • a pinch of red food color
    • salt to taste

    Instructions

    Method

    • Wash fish fillets properly and cut into 1 inch cubes.
    • Season with salt and red pepper. Drizzle lemon juice over it. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
    • In a small bow, add yogurt, ground cumin, garam masala powder and food color. Mix well.
    • Pour this batter over the fish. Toss to coat evenly.
    • Marinate fish for 4-6 hours.
    • Thread marinated fish on thin skewers. Cook in a hot tandoor or oven for 15 minutes turning once.
    • Take it from the oven. Sprinkle chaat masala over it. Garnish with lemon wedges. Tandoori Fish Tikka is ready to serve.

  • Spice Up Your Life: Desi-Style Chili Chicken Recipe You Crave!

    Pakistani Or Desi Style Chili Chicken

    This is a really easy & quick recipe. And guys, I am already warning people with no tolerance to spicy food. Beware. This can be the most spiciest food ever. You can always lessen the amount of red chilli paste in eat but in my views you’ll ruin the whole point of this dish. Its one of my all time favorites. I always make this dish with Bhagaar walay chawal( stir fried rice) & spicy green chutney & serve it wit sliced lettuce & cucumbers. For a perfect taste do not add all ingredients at once. The timing in when you add what to a dish while cooking makes a big difference in its taste. Enjoy till you start sweating 🙂

    Prep Time: 5 minutes

    Cook Time:30 minutes

    Ingredients

    For Desi Chili Chicken:

    • 1 kg chicken, cut into 16 pieces
    • 1/2 cup oil
    • 2 onions, cut into cubes
    • 2 capsicum, cut into cubes
    • 4 tbsp ketchup
    • 2 tbsp chili sauce
    • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1-1/2 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp salt

    For Tomato Sauce:

    • 1/4 cup oil
    • 4 green chilies
    • 1 onion, thinly sliced
    • 1 can whole tomatoes

    Yield: 5 servings

    Directions:

    To Make Tomato Sauce:

    1.  Heat 1/4 cup oil in a pan.
    2. Add chopped green chilies and sliced onion.
    3. Fry for 2-3minutes or until transparent.
    4. Now add whole tomatoes.
    5. Cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
    6. Remove from the heathen blend until smooth.

    To Make Desi Chili Chicken:

    1. Cook chicken with ginger garlic paste, chili powder and salt for 20 minutes or until all water dries up.
    2. Heat oil in a deep wok over medium heat.
    3. Add capsicum and onion’s cubes.
    4. Saute for 2 minutes then add prepared tomato sauce and cooked chicken.
    5. Stir well.
    6. Also add tomato ketchup and red chili sauce.
    7. Cook on low flame for 10 minutes or until chicken is tender.
    8. Desi Chili Chicken is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

     

    • Serve with boiled rice.

  • The Perfect Family Dinner: Easy Tawa Chicken Recipe!

    Tawa Chicken is a dry chicken recipe, generally cooked on roadside dhabas on big tawa (griddle). It’s really good for people who love spicy flavors and is easy to make. This dish goes well with naan bread. Tawa Chicken is a restaurant specialty in Lahore city. After eating it I often thought to make it at home and finally now I tried and got it very similar to that actual taste. It has a little spicy taste due to use of green chilies. My whole family also like it. This dish goes well with hot naan, paratha or rotis.

    • 1 kg  Chicken
    • 4 tbsp butter or ghee
    • 1 cup onion, minced
    • 1 tbsp ginger paste
    • 1 tbsp ginger paste
    • 2 tbsp Lime juice
    • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper, crushed
    • 3 tbsp Tandoori Spice Mix
    • 1 tsp garam masala powder
    • Salt to taste

    For garnishing:

    • 6-8 Green Chilies, thinly sliced
    • 4 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves

     

    Directions:

    Step 1

    Rinse chicken and trim all fat. Cut chicken into small pieces.

    Step 2

    Place all ingredients and chicken (except butter) in a large bowl. Mix well.

    Step 3

    Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours for marination.

    Step 4

    Heat butter or ghee in a large tawa. Add marinated chicken and stir fry for few minutes.

    Step 5

    Then reduce heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes. Keep stirring until chicken is tender.

    Step 6

    Sprinkle garam masala over it. Garnished with coriander leaves and green chilies. Tawa Chicken is ready to serve.

     

    • Serve hot with hot naan, paratha or rotis.

    Place milk in a saucepan and warm it gently. Dissolve sugar in it. Then add rose water.

    Then covered with a wet cloth and set aside for 40 minutes.

    Step 4

    Flatten the dough into a rectangular shape. Put 1 tbsp clarified butter on it.

    Step 5

    Spread evenly then dust with flour. Fold and make 3 layers. Then cover with a wet cloth and refrigerate for 10 minutes.

    Step 6

    Repeat this method 3 to 4 times. Now place the dough on a hard surface.

    Step 7

    Dust flour and roll it into a rectangular shape. Cut into squares by using sharp knife.

    Step 8

    Make 2 or 3 breads on each square. Then put individual sheets of butter paper.

    Step 9

    Refrigerate for 4 hours or until freeze.

    Step 10

    Heat a griddle and place paratha on it. Fry with clarified butter or ghee.

    Step 11

    Cook on medium heat for 2 minutes on each each side or until golden brown. Flaky Paratha is ready to serve. ENJOY!

    • few drops of Yellow color & green color

    2. Cream butter with sugar.
    3. Sieve flour with baking powder.
    4. Now add eggs in the butter mixture one at a time alternating with 1 tbsp sieved mixture of flour.
    5. Stir in vanilla essence.
    6. Then fold in the remaining flour.
    7. Divide the batter into three equal portions.
    8. Color one part yellow, second part green and third part mix with coco powder and milk.
    9. Place this mixture in a greased pan alternating all three colors.
    10. Lastly add swirls with a knife to give a marble effect.
    11. Bake for 40 minutes or until toothpick insert into the center comes out clean.
    12. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
    13. Cut cake into slices.
    14. Marble Cake is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

    Cheese Chaat

    There are many ways to include cheese in your meals and here is one chatpata way _ that of cheese chaat. Cheese Chaat is an easy and quick recipe that is prepared with grated cheese, potatoes, sev, onion, sweet chutney and chaat masala.

    Servings: 4

    Ingredients

    • 2 boiled potatoes, peeled & cubed
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • 1 tomato, chopped
    • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    • 1/4 cup sev
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice
    • 2 tbsp sweet chutney
    • 1 tbsp green chutney
    • 1 tsp chaat masala powder
    • salt according to taste
    • Few coriander leaves, for garnishing

    Directions:

    Step 1

    Place the potatoes, tomatoes, and onions in a large bowl.

    Step 2

    Stir in the sweet chutney, green chutney and lemon juice.

    Step 3

    Season with salt and chaat masala. Toss to coat evenly.

    Step 4

    Top with sev and cheese.

    Step 5

    Garnish with coriander leaves. Cheese Chaat is ready to serve. Enjoy!!

    Today afternoon for Lunch, I was getting [highlight]chocolate cravings[/highlight]. So, I decided to make stuffed Chocolate Paratha…. sounds yummy. This Chocolate Paratha is healthy, yummy and delicious.

    I have used dark melted chocolate and walnuts (to add some crunch) as I am a Walnut’s lover. You could use grated chocolate for this recipe.You can have this chocolate treat whenever you like; remember to have it in moderation as part of a healthy diet.

    Chocolate Paratha

    Treat your family with this yummy Chocolate Paratha. Better than store bought junk. All you need to make this tasty paratha is chocolate, flour, milk, and some walnuts.

    Ingredients

    • 500 gm Wheat flour
    • 1 cup Chocolate
    • 1/2 cup walnuts crushed
    • Milk for kneading
    • Ghee or oil for cooking
    • 1/4 cup peanut butter Optional

    Instructions

    Directions

    • Place flour in a large bowl. Knead a soft dough with milk.
    • Keep aside.
    • Melt chocolate in a double boiler.
    • Stir in the walnuts.
    • Make 12 small balls from the dough.
    • Roll out into round shape chapati.
    • Spread chocolate mixture over a chapati.
    • Cover with second chapati.
    • Seal edges.
    • Heat a griddle or tawa.
    • Put paratha on the griddle, apply ghee over it.
    • Cook on low flame for 2 minutes or until lightly browned.
    • Take it out in a serving plate.
    • Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Delicious Chocolate Paratha is ready to serve.ENJOY!!

    Serve with Jam or jellies or Peanut butter.

    Step 1

    Add 1-cup vegetable stock to stockpot. Bring to a boil over high heat.

    Step 2

    Reduce heat to medium. Stir in chopped onion, minced garlic, and minced fresh ginger.

    Simmer 3 minutes. Stir in soy sauce and remaining vegetable stock.

    Step 4

    Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.

    Step 5

    Stir in chopped water chestnuts, chopped bamboo shoots, chopped broccoli, shredded carrot, sliced shiitake mushroom caps, shredded spinach, chopped snow peas, cooked brown rice, diced celery, and green bell pepper.
