    Juicy Fruit Chaat

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup grapes
    • 1 cup pineapple chunks
    • 1 cup papaya
    • 1 cup apple
    • 4 bananas
    • 2 guava
    • 1 glass orange juice
    • 4 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp sugar
    • 1/2 tsp chaat masala powder
    • 1/2 tsp black salt

    Instructions

    Method

    • In a small bowl, combine together orange juice, black salt, chaat masala powder, caster sugar and lemon juice.
    • Cut all fruits into small cubes then place in a bowl.
    • Pour orange juice mixture over it.
    • Mix well.
    • Juicy Fruit Chaat is ready to serve. ENJOY!

  • Recipe: Tamarind Chutney (Imli ki Chutney)

    Tamarind chutney is sweet and sour chutney, it is known as imli ki chutney or meethi (sweet) chutney.This Tamarind chutney takes a while to cook. But the outcome is absolutely amazing which makes you lick even the last drop!!

    Prep Time: 10 minutes

    Cook Time: 15 minutes

    Servings: 6

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup tamarind pulp
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/2 cup jaggery
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds, roasted & crushed
    • 1 tsp dry ginger powder
    • 1 tsp red chili powder
    • 1/2 tsp black salt
    • 1/2 tsp chat Masala
    • 1/4 tsp salt

    Directions:

    1. Place tamarind pulp, jaggery and dry ginger powder in a saucepan.
    2. Cook for 5 minutes or until jaggery dissolved.
    3. Season with chili powder, cumin seeds, dry ginger powder, salt and black salt.
    4. Add water and cook for 15 minutes or until sauce is thickened.
    5. Sprinkle chat masala over it.
    6. Tamarind Chutney is ready now.

    Serving Suggestions:

    • Serve with samosa, pakora, cutlets or any other snack.

    Heat oil in a deep wok or karahi. Saute onion in hot oil until lightly browed.

    Now add the ginger garlic paste. Cook and stir for 30 seconds.

    Then add the mutton mince and salt. Cook and stir for 15 minutes or until no longer pink.

    Step 4

    Add the water and cover the pan and let it cook for 40 minutes or until the meat is half- cooked.

    Step 5

    Remove the lid. Add tomatoes, cumin powder, red chili, and coriander powder. Cook on hight heat for 15-20 minutes or until the meat is ready.

    Step 6

    Sprinkle the all spices over it.

    Step 7

    Garnish with green chilies, ginger and coriander. Simmer over a low heat for 5 minutes or until the oil floats on top. Karahi Keema is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

    Step 1

    In a small bowl, make a thick batter with gram flour, rice flour, red pepper, salt and water. Keep aside for 15 minutes.

    Heat oil in a frying pan over moderate heat. Take a slice of brinjal and dip in the batter. Deep fry until crisp and golden brown.

    Step 3

    Put them on paper towels to remove excess oil. If you fry correctly and at right temperature, you will find that it does not retain oil at all.

    • 250 gm green chillies
    • 100 gm besan
    • salt to taste
    • 2 gm red chilli powder
    • 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
    • pinch of amchoor powder
    • 5 gm asafoetida
    • 10 gm roasted cumin seeds
    • oil for frying

    Take a little oil and add the asafoetida, besan and the rest of the masalas and cook on a very low flame, till it turns a golden brown in colour.

    Fill this besan mixture in the green chillies.

    Again take oil in a pan and add the asafoetida, put the stuffed green chillies.

    Cook for a while until crispy and golden brwon. Remove from  the oil and drain on paper towel. Besan Ki Mirchi is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

    Sindhi Aloo Tikki

    Ingredients

    • 500 gm boiled potatoes
    • 2 eggs lightly beaten
    • 4 green chilies thinly sliced
    • 4 bread slices
    • 1/4 cup chopped mint leaves
    • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
    • 1 tsp chopped garlic
    • 1 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • oil for frying

    Instructions

    Method

    • Soak 4 slices of bread in water then gently squeeze out the water.
    • Place potatoes and bread slices in a large bowl. Slightly mash the boiled potatoes, add the spices and salt. Now add fresh coriander, mint, green chilies and garlic.
    • Mix well.
    • Shape into kebabs.
    • Dip tikki in egg then fry until golden brown. Sindhi Aloo Tikki is ready to serve.

    Serving Suggestions:
    You can serve Sindhi Aloo Tikki along with Punjabi Dhaba Dal or green chutney.
