    Very easy to make, nutritious, and delicious _ Moist inside and crunchy outside, these are great with oven fries or roasted veggies and low-fat homemade tartar sauce. You can make these fish sticks in about the same amount of time it takes to bake a box of the frozen kind. DO try it!!

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound cod fish fillets cut into strips
    • 2 eggs lightly beaten
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 180 degree C°.
    • Place bread crumbs and seasoning in a shallow bowl. Mix well.
    • Place flour in a separate shallow bowl.
    • Beat eggs in another bowl.
    • Coat fish in flour; shake off excess.
    • Dip in egg.Then roll in crumb mixture.
    • Place on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
    • Bake, in the preheated oven, for 12 minutes or until fish flake easily with a fork, turning once.
    • Transfer into a serving platter. Fish Sticks are ready to serve. ENJOY!

    Notes

    Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

    Crunchy Fish Sticks

    These crunchy fish sticks are made with a simple and flavourful seasoning and breadcrumb coating. They are moist inside and crunchy outside. Goes great with French fries or roasted veggies and tartar sauce.

    • 500 gm boneless fish , drained and flaked
    • 4 potatoes, chopped
    • 2 egg, lightly beaten
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tsp mustard powder
    • 2 cups breadcrumbs
    • 1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
    • Salt to taste
    • Oil for shallow-frying

    Step 1

    Boil potatoes until tender.

    Step 2

    Place in a bowl and mash until smooth.

    Step 3

    In a large bowl, add fish and eggs to potatoes and mix well.

    Step 4

    Then add soy sauce, mustard powder, salt and pepper, mix well to combine.

    Step 5

    Take 2 tbsp of mixture and shape into thick fingers or sticks.

    Step 6

    Roll in breadcrumbs to coat evenly.

    Step 7

    Repeat to use all remaining mixture.

    Step 8

    Heat oil in a frying pan over a medium heat until hot.

    Step 9

    Add fish sticks and cook for 3 minutes each side or until crispy and golden brown.

    Step 10

    Drain on absorbent paper, cool slightly.Crunchy Fish Sticks are ready to serve. ENJOY!
