    Fish Biscuits 

    Among so many fish recipes,  Fish Biscuits is one of delicious recipe. Must try a Fish biscuits recipe !!

    Prep Time: 20 minutes

    Cook Time: 5 minutes

     Servings:4 

    Ingredients

    • 300 gm fish fillets
    • 1/2 cup plain flour, for dusting
    • 1 egg
    • 4 tbsp oil
    • 2 tbsp plain flour, for batter
    • 2 tbsp cornflour
    • 1 tbsp garlic paste
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • salt to taste

     

    Directions:

    1. Cut fish fillets into square pieces.
    2. In a small bowl, combine together plain flour, corn flour and beaten egg.
    3. Season with salt and black pepper.
    4. Mix well and make a smooth batter.
    5. Place remaining plain flour in a shallow dish.
    6. Coat fish pieces in flour then dip in the batter.
    7. Heat oil in a deep wok.
    8. Fry fish pieces for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
    9. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towel.
    10. Fish Biscuits are ready to serve.
    • Serve with Tartar Sauce.

    Ingredients

    • 8 ounce boneless fish
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 egg, lightly beaten
    • 1 potato, boiled & mashed
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 3 green chilies, finely chopped
    • 1tbsp fresh coriander leaves
    • 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • 1/2 tsp all spice
    • salt according to taste
    • bread crumbs as required
    • oil for frying

    Yield: 3 servings

    Directions:

    1. Steam fish fillets for 10 minutes in water.
    2. Drain fish and mash properly.
    3. In a bowl, add mashed potato, fish, onion, green chilies, ginger garlic paste, black pepper, all spice, coriander leaves, egg and salt.
    4. Mix well.
    5. Shape into round patties.
    6. Roll patties in bread crumbs.
    7. Shallow fry fish patties on each side for 2 minute or until golden.
    8. Fish Patties are ready to serve. ENJOY!!
    • Serve with Chili Garlic Sauce.

    Finger Fish Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 1 kg fish fillets
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp mustard powder
    • 1/2 tsp white pepper
    • 2 eggs lightly beaten
    • 1 cup plain flour
    • 1 cup breadcrumbs
    • salt to taste
    • oil for frying

    Instructions

    Method

    • Rinse and drained fish fillets then cut the fish into finger shaped pieces.
    • Place the fish in a bowl, add soy sauce, lemon juice, mustard powder, red chili, salt and pepper.
    • Marinate fish for at least 2 hours.
    • Place the flour, eggs and bread crumbs in 3 separate bowl.
    • Roll each fish finger in flour, then dip in egg and again roll in breadcrumbs properly. Place them in a single layer on flat dish.
    • Heat oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Deep fry the finger fish for 8-10 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
    • Drain on paper towel. Finger fish is ready to serve.

    Notes

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with tartar Sauce.

    This is a quick Fish fry, popular in India (Bombay), wonderful as an appetizer or as a side dish to complement the main course.Try out this spicy yet delicious Bombay fish recipe !

    Ingredients

    • 250 gm fish fillets, cut into 1 inch cubes
    • 1 egg
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp plain flour
    • 1 tbsp cornflour
    • 1 tbsp rice flour
    • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
    • 1 tsp red pepper, crushed
    • 1 tsp coriander seeds, crushed
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds, crushed
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp all spice
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1/4 tsp baking powder
    • oil for frying

     

    Directions:

    1. In a bowl, combine together garlic paste, lemon juice, red pepper, All spice, egg, crushed coriander, cumin, plain flour, corn flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, salt and baking powder.
    2. Make a smooth paste of it.
    3. Marinate fish in this mixture for 30 minutes.
    4. Now heat oil in a deep pan over medium high heat.
    5. Fry marinated fish for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
    6. Bombay Fish is ready now.

    Serving Suggestions

    • Serve hot with french fries and Coleslaw salad.

    Ingredients:

    • 1/2 kg Fish
    • 1 cup bread crumbs
    • 1 bread slice
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 1 tbsp cornflour
    • 1 tsp ginger paste
    • 1 tsp garlic paste
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1/2 tsp garam masala
    • salt to taste
    • 2 green chilies, chopped
    • 1 bunch of Coriander Leaves, chopped
    • Oil for frying

    Method:

    • Smear and rub fish with salt and turmeric powder.
    • Rinse fish after 5 minutes.
    • Place the fish over a pan of hot water for steaming.
    • Cook for 20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
    • Transfer into a plate and remove the bones. Mash them properly.
    • Soak bread slice in water then squeeze.
    • Add ginger-garlic paste, corn flour, coriander leaves, green chillies and bread slice.
    • Season with salt and garam masala powder.
    • Mix well.
    • Form into small balls and flatten them slightly.
    • In a small bowl, beat egg.
    • Dip each cutlet in egg then roll in breadcrumbs.
    • Heat oil in a deep pan or wok.
    • Fry for 2-3 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
    • Remove from the oil and drain on paper towel.
    • Fish cutlets are ready to serve.
