    • 1 tsp cumin powder

    Step 1

    Take a small bowl, add chickpea flour, rice flour, red pepper, cumin powder, baking soda and salt. Mix until well combined.

    Step 2

    Peel the potatoes and thinly sliced in round shape.

    Heat the oil in a deep wok over medium heat.

    Step 4

    Dip each potato slice in the batter and fry in hot oil until crispy and golden brown.

    Step 5

    Remove from the oil and drain on paper towel.

    Cut bread slices into triangle or rectangle shape. Keep aside.

    2. Bread pakoras are taste better when served with green chutney, tomato sauce or tamarind chutney.
    3. You can be made these pakoras one day in advance but do not refrigerate. Before serving, place them on a baking sheet and heat in the preheated oven on 300 degrees F.

    Spinach Pakora (Palak Pakora) Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup spinach leaves palak, chopped
    • 1-1/2 cups gramflour besan
    • 1 small chopped onion
    • 2 green chilies chopped
    • 1 tsp Red chili crushed
    • 1/2 tsp Mango powder
    • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds crushed
    • 1/2 tsp coriander seeds crushed
    • Salt to taste
    • Oil for deep frying

    Instructions

    Method

    • Wash palak leaves properly and leave it for drying.
    • Chop the palak leaves. Add water to besan and make a batter of thick consistency.
    • Add chopped green chilies, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, red chili powder, and mango powder, salt and blend it well.
    • Fry small portions of mixture in oil for 5-8 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
    • Remove from oil and absorb on kitchen paper. Palak Pakora is ready to serve.

    Notes

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with Apricot Chutney.

    Ingredients:

    • 100 ml natural yoghurt
    • 1-1/2 tsp ground cumin
    • 1-1/2 tsp ground coriander
    • 1 -1/2 tsp paprika
    • 1 tsp ground ginger
    • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
    • 1 tsp salt
    • Juice of one lime

     

    Directions:

    Step 1

    In a small bowl, combine together the yogurt, cumin, ginger, coriander.

    Step 2

    Season with salt, chili powder and paprika.

    Step 3

    Stir in the lime juice. Mix well Chilli Pakora Sauce is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

    Serving Suggestions:

    Serve with Pakora or snacks.
