  • 4-1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 3 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9×13-in. baking pan.
Step 2
In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cocoa powder and salt. Stir in sugar. Gradually add oil and water. Mix thoroughly. Stir in vanilla. Pour this batter into a 9×13 inch pan.
Step 3
