- 1 (4 pound) whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
- 1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
- 1 quart buttermilk
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- oil for frying

Step 1
Place chicken, buttermilk and salt in a large resealable plastic bag. Seal again and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
Step 2
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place flour, poultry seasoning, Italian dressing mix, salt and pepper in a shallow bowl. Drain.
Step 3
Place chicken into the flour mixture. Turn to coat. Place coated chicken on a plate for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Fry in hot oil for 15 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, and golden brown. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels. Awesome Fried Chicken is ready to serve. ENJOY!!
