  • 1 kg ground beef or lamb mince
  • 2 onions, minced
  • 4 green chilies, minced
  • 1 egg, for binding
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon chickpea flour
  • 2 tablespoon milk powder
  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 teaspoon raw papaya paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly crushed
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice powder
  • salt according to taste

Directions:

Step 1

Place all ingredients except ghee in a food processor or chopper.

Step 2

Process until well combined.

Step 3

Take it out in a bowl.

Step 4

Cover and marinate for 2 hours to blend flavors.

Step 5

Take a small portion of the mince mixture in hands and put on a square metal skewer.

Step 6

Make sure the meat is spread to an even thickness.

Step 7

Preheat grill on high heat.

Step 8

Brush grill grate with oil.

Step 9

Put Kebab skewers on the preheated grill.

Step 10

Cook for 10-12 minutes or until well done; turning and basting occasionally.

Step 11

Remove from the skewers and transfer into a serving platter.

  • These kababs can also be roasted directly on flame for a minute and later fried with a little oil in a frying pan.
