  • 500 gm ground beef
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 12 dinner rolls, frozen
  • 2 cups lettuce, chopped
  • water as required
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

Directions:

Step 1

Grease a cookie sheet and place dinner rolls on it.

Step 2

Let rise for 15-20 minutes or until almost double.

Step 3

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet , add ground beef. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until brown.

Step 4

Season with salt and taco seasoning mix.

Step 5

Add 1/4 cup of water and cook for 10 minutes or until meat is tender..

Sep 6

Heat 1 cup oil in a frying pan.

Step 7

Stretch the dough quite thin and fry in hot oil for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 8

Remove from the oil and drain on paper towel.

Step 9

Top each taco with seasoned beef mixture, layer with lettuce and tomatoes.

Step 10

Sprinkle cheddar cheese over it. Indian Tacos are ready to serve. Enjoy!
