- 2 Chicken broiler, skinned, washed, cut into 12 pieces
- Salt to taste
- A pinch White pepper powder
- 2 ½ tsp Mace powder
- 2 tbsp Ginger paste
- 2 tbsp Garlic paste
- ¼ cup Malt vinegar
- 2 cups Yoghurt
- ¾ cup Cheese, grated
- 3 tbsp Cream
- 6 Green chilies, chopped
- 1 tsp Green cardamom
- Butter for basting

Directions:

Step 1
Mix salt, white pepper, ½ tsp mace powder, ginger and garlic pastes with malt vinegar.
Step 2
Rub the mixture into the chicken and marinate for 1 hour.
Step 3
Mix the remaining ingredients (except butter) together.
Step 4
Transfer the marinated chicken into this yoghurt mixture.
Step 5
Keep aside for 3 hours.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 180 degree C.
Step 7
Skewer the chicken pieces, 2 cm apart.
Step 8
Keep a tray underneath to collect the drippings.
Step 9
Roast in an oven or grill for 10-12 minutes.
Step 10
Remove and hang the skewers to allow the excess marinade to drip off.
Step 11
Baste with butter and roast for 3 more minutes. Afghani Kebab is ready to serve.
