Soy sauce, hot pepper sauce, vinegar, ginger- garlic, red chili and tomato sauce coat the noodles beautifully. They’re hot and sour with a very subtle heat from the ginger and hot pepper sauce. These noodle bowls are a lightning fast dinner that the whole family is sure to enjoy. They are surprisingly easy to make from scratch, and you don’t need to worry about the questionable sodium ingredients that are listed in the store bought version.

What makes hot and sour Noodles HOT?

The heat in this hot and sour noodles comes from red pepper flakes and hot pepper sauce. The noodles has to be on the hotter side. The sourness comes from adding vinegar right at the end. If you add the vinegar in the beginning or towards the middle, the vinegar will evaporate during cooking. Which is why we add the vinegar right at the end.

These noodles will be your new go-to. Take it to work for lunch, take it to cookouts, make it for your family dinner. Trust me – you’ll knock their socks off with this one.

Flavorful Chinese Restaurant-Style Recipes You Can Make at Home

Chinese food in Pakistan isn’t quite the same as the real thing; it’s more of a cultural offshoot developed to cater to Pakistani tastes. But the general cultural nuances remain — if perhaps in a more deep-fried form. Whether or not this cuisine can really be called “Chinese” is a subject for debate, but at least we can all agree on calling it “delicious.” You don’t need to order take-out or head to your favorite Chinese restaurant every time you get a yen for Fried Rice or Chinese Soup or Sweet and Sour Chicken.
Below are a few staples of foods found on Chinese menus across the country. Soon enough, you’ll be replicating your favorite dishes right in your own kitchen!

Chinese Restaurant-Style Recipes You Can Make at Home

When a friend blogger posted Chicken Shashlik Sticks recipe on Instagram AND I saw it pinned on Pinterest on the same day, I knew it was a sign that I had to make this. The pictures looked so good, and the recipe seemed too easy to be true (spoiler alert, it isn’t!). So I added it to my weekly meal plan. I finally got a chance to make it yesterday, and I am praising the convenience and tastiness of this dish.

This is an easy recipe for Tender & Juicy Chicken Shashlik Sticks. The shashlik sticks were loaded with tender pieces of chicken between juicy tomato chunks, sweet peppers and flavorful onions. The chicken was marinated in a sweet and tangy sauce before firing and the sticks were brushed with the leftover marination while they were being cooked. What a great combination of flavors!

Remove from the grill or griddle and serve immediately. The combination of the juicy chicken bites and colorful veggies with the Shashlik sauce is fantastic! I loved how juicy they turned out.

    Extra-Bonus Tip:

Make sure you don’t use too big of pieces of chicken because you want everything to cook evenly. I have had one too many (okay, two total- but still that is more than necessary) meals ruined because my chicken wasn’t all the way cooked.

  • Restaurant Secret Revealed: Make Restaurant-Style Hot and Sour Soup at Home!

Learn how to make restaurant-style Hot and Sour Soup with this quick and easy recipe.  It’s easy to adapt to your personal taste preferences, and so delicious!

    Hot and Sour Soup

Delicious hot and sour soup does not need to be complicated. This Hot and Sour Soup recipe is quick and easy to make, SO tasty and flavorful, and tastes just like the Chinese restaurant version!

And today’s recipe is one that I’ve been meaning to share with you on the blog for years, after literally dozens and dozens of you have requested it. (apparently many of you usually opt for the hot and sour soup at your favorite Chinese restaurants and have wanted to learn how to make it!)

Well, good news, friends! Traditional hot and sour soup is actually incredibly easy to make as well. And the bonus of making it at home is that it’s also incredibly easy to customize to your taste. Like it extra hot? Add in more chili garlic sauce. Like it extra sour? Add in more rice wine vinegar. Like it vegetarian? Make it with tofu. Like the meat version? Just add in some chicken.

Trust me, this is one of those restaurant recipes that will taste just as good at home. And on chilly winter weeks like this one that we’re having here in Lahore, it’s guaranteed to warm you up in the most delicious of ways.

Really, traditional hot and sour soup is just a hotter and sour-er version of egg drop soup, with some mushrooms and chicken (or tofu) thrown in. Oh, and bamboo shoots. Although I’m not really a fan of those, so I left them out in the version above (and included instructions in the recipe for how to add them if you’d like).I highly recommend using shiitake mushrooms for this recipe if you want it to taste ultra-authentic. But if you can’t find any, baby bella or white button mushrooms will totally work too.

Winters’s most favorite mouth watering hot and sour soup, You can serve as appetizer to your guests in special dinner or lunch. Serve very hot to enjoy it’s real taste.

Hot and Sour Soup with lots of veggies has a wonderful blend of hot and sour flavours, this is the perfect choice for a lazy winter evening. I love hot n sour soup especially if I have one of those really bad sinus or chest colds. Try this Hot and Sour Soup Recipe, and don’t forget your experience with us !!

Then just follow the instructions and bring everything to a simmer, drizzle in those eggs in a thin stream while stirring the soup (to create those pretty egg ribbons), and add in your cooked chicken (or tofu) and sesame oil and green onions at the end…

…and serve it up nice and warm, topped with extra green onions for garnish.

The whole thing usually comes together for me in just about 20-25 minutes, making it the perfect meal to warm you up quickly on a chilly day. I love serving it with my homemade fried rice recipe, or any kind of stir-fry that sounds good. And it always, always hits the spot.

    Stay warm this week, everyone!

    Boneless Chilli Chicken

Boneless chicken are marinated in soya sauce, egg, cornflour, chili sauce and pepper, then deep fried and then seasoned again in sauces.

It tastes hot, sweet and sour. A very simple dish to cook, but has lot of unhealthy stuff in the restaurant style dry chilli chicken, like ajinomotto, food color and lot of oil since they are deep fried.

To make this Boneless chilli chicken, I have not used ajinimotto (chinese salt), no food color, yet tastes good. The quintessential Chinese chicken can now be savoured in the comfort of your homes with these few simple steps.Give it a try!!

  • Better than Takeout Chinese Chicken Fried Rice Recipe

It’s my favorite fried rice again ! And I am sure it’s also the favorites of many of you out there. Because no one, simply no one I have heard of who doesn’t fancy a fried rice so far. And today version is further topped with salmon cubes and edamame beans ! And with the plus fact that it’s more protein packed than usual because there’s simply more eggs than rice in this fried rice !

Also for the fact that I am trying to reduce my rice intake, so this plate of fried rice uses one whole chunk of salmon and 2 full eggs but only contains slightly more than 1/2 cup of short grain rice. So you can visualize yourself enjoying the ingredients rather than eating fried rice then. Lol.

But I must reiterate that it’s still a fried rice nevertheless because it was intended to be one, and a very tasty one too ! Because salmon and edamame beans are healthy and delicious foods to begin with, so they can never go wrong with the scrambled eggs and Japanese short grain rice.

Recently I saw someone sharing some thoughts about posting recipes that I find it very meaningful and true. It goes on to say something liked ~ instead of sharing very elaborate recipes which you would need to go to great strengths to produce that excellent food, why not share some down to earth and simple recipes which the majority of us can follow or even improvise to an even better one which would in turn benefit more people. And I am so in agreement with this. So here I am, sharing this quick and fuss free recipe here ! Hope you will like it too !

Try this Chinese Chicken fried rice recipe ~ just like they serve in the restaurants. Chicken, eggs, carrots, pea pods, rice and soy sauce is all you need. !!
